March 2025 Acquisition Rundown

Armis acquires Otorio​

Armis, a cyber exposure management company, stated that it has acquired Otorio in order to increase the range of operational technology (OT) and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security solutions it offers.  The deal was estimated to be worth around $120 million.

Google Cloud to acquire Wiz​

Google Cloud is paying $32 billion in cash to acquire cloud security behemoth Wiz.  Wiz security products will continue to be available on all major cloud platforms after the anticipated 2026 closing of the deal.

Forcepoint to acquire Getvisibility​

Forcepoint announced that it’s acquiring Getvisibility, an Irish company specializing in AI-powered Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Data Detection and Response (DDR). Forcepoint’s Data Security Everywhere platform unifies visibility and control over sensitive data, while Getvisibility enhances users’ ability to identify and mitigate data risk. The companies have been working together for several years and their solutions will be further integrated following the acquisition.

Lumu acquires Maltiverse​

Lumu Technologies, a provider of protection and continuous network visibility solutions, has purchased Maltiverse, a threat intelligence company based in Spain that focuses on IoCs and curated threat feeds.  Lumu can now provide deeper context for compromise and improve its real-time threat intelligence capabilities thanks to the agreement.​

Nightwing acquires Roka Security​

Nightwing, the cybersecurity and intelligence company that spun out of defense giant RTX (Raytheon), announced buying managed security services provider Roka Security. The deal enhances Nightwing’s ability to provide technical training, secure data transport solutions, and critical infrastructure.

PartnerOne acquires NetWitness from RSA​

NetWitness, a provider of threat detection and response products, was purchased by enterprise software firm PartnerOne from RSA.  PartnerOne said it will give NetWitness a permanent home and financial support while also assisting it in expanding its capabilities and improving its technology.

Rad Security Announces $14M Series A

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Leading cloud-focused infrastructure security company RAD Security today announced a $14 million Series A funding round led by Cheyenne Ventures, with participation from existing investors Gula Tech Adventures, Vertex Ventures, and.406 Ventures, as well as new investors Forgepoint Capital, Lytical Ventures, and Akamai.

Mimic Networks Raises $50M Series A

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GV (Google Ventures) and Menlo Ventures are the leaders of the $50 million Series A investment round for Mimic, an enterprise cybersecurity company that specializes in ransomware defense. Ballistic Ventures, Team8, Wing Ventures, and Shield Capital also participated in the financing.

Aura Announces $140M Series G

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today, Aura, the top online safety solution for families and individuals, announced that its Series G fundraising round, which was led by Madrone Capital and Ten Eleven Ventures and included new investor AT&T Ventures, has closed.  The round also included participation from current investors Accel, Warburg Pincus, and General Catalyst.  The investment deal, which had its first close in August 2024, is Aura's first after splitting from Pango Group as a tax-free spinoff.  At a valuation of $1.6 billion, the recently independent Aura raised $140 million in financing and stock.

Cybereason Secures $120 Million in Funding

 

 

 

 

 

Leading global cybersecurity firm Cybereason today announced a $120 million investment led by SoftBank Corp., SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and Liberty Strategic Capital to further the company's global expansion, which is driven by its world-class consulting services and award-winning endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, supplemented by a strategic alliance with Trustwave.  The company's next CEO will be Manish Narula.

SpecterOps Secures $75 Million in Series B Funding

 

 

 

 

 

A $75 million Series B funding round led by global software investor Insight Partners has been raised by SpecterOps, a provider of adversary-focused cybersecurity solutions with targeted insights of advanced threat actor tradecraft. Other investors in the round include Ansa Capital, M12, Ballistic Ventures, Decibel, and Cisco Investments.
