August 2025 Acquisition Rundown

 Palo Alto Networks to acquire CyberArk

​A $25 billion agreement will see Palo Alto Networks acquire Israeli identity security company CyberArk.  In addition to 2.2005 shares of Palo Alto, CyberArk shareholders will receive $45 in cash for each share.  The transaction is anticipated to close in Palo Alto Networks' fiscal year 2026.  Following a 5% loss on Tuesday, Palo Alto's stock dropped 5.6% on Wednesday.  The shares of CyberArk whipped.

CrowdStrike to Acquire Onum

CrowdStrike has announced its agreement to acquire Onum, a leader in real-time telemetry pipeline management, further extending the data advantage of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. Onum’s cutting-edge real-time data architecture transforms data in motion into high-fidelity intelligence, fueling Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and powering the agentic SOC. This acquisition marks a pivotal step in CrowdStrike’s mission to stop breaches and deliver unmatched security innovation for our customers.

Zscaler Completes Acquisition of Red Canar

Zscaler, the leader in cloud security, has completed its acquisition of Red Canary, a recognized innovator in threat detection and response. A $30 million Series A fundraising round was recently disclosed by Prophet Security, a startup that creates solutions for security operations centers. Accel led the round, which will support Prophet's agentic AI SOC platform launch.

Noma Security Raises $100 Million in Series B 

 

 

 

 

 

A $100 million Series B fundraising round has been secured by Noma Security, a unified platform for AI and agent security situated in Tel Aviv, Israel.  In addition to expanding its product, R&D, and research teams in Tel Aviv, the company plans to use the money to expedite its go-to-market expansion throughout North America and EMEA.

A $4.7 million fundraising round headed by YFM Equity Partners was announced by London-based cyber risk management company DynaRisk, which plans to expand operations and product development throughout Asia-Pacific, North America, and EMEA in order to satisfy this demand.

SAFE Security Secures $70 Million in Series C

 

 

 

 With the acquisition of $70 million in Series C capital, SAFE, a Palo Alto, California-based business that offers an independent cyber risk management platform, has raised more than $170 million in total funding.  The money will be used to increase the company's leadership in CRQ, TPRM, and now Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), grow its Agentic AI-native models, and accelerate its cyber superintelligence roadmap.
