OneSpan Completes Acquisition of Build38

Build38, a pioneer in next-generation mobile application security solutions, has been fully acquired by OneSpan Inc. On January 12, 2026, it was previously stated that the definitive agreement will be signed. Now that the deal has been finalized, OneSpan can formally include Build38's cutting-edge mobile security technology, experienced engineers, and cloud-based threat intelligence platform into its growing cybersecurity offering.

Palo Alto Networks Completes Acquisition of CyberArk

Today, the world leader in cybersecurity, Palo Alto Networks, announced the completion of its acquisition of CyberArk, making Identity Security a fundamental component of its platformization strategy. Palo Alto Networks can now safeguard all identities within the organization, human, machine, and agentic, thanks to the addition of the CyberArk Identity Security Platform. Identity security is now a fundamental component of modern business protection. The development of human, machine, and AI identities that operate continuously with increased access has made identity the main attack avenue as organizations scale cloud, automation, and AI.

Arctic Wolf acquires Sevco Security

US cybersecurity firm Sevco Security was purchased by SOC provider Arctic Wolf; no financial information was made public. The purpose of the acquisition is to improve Arctic Wolf's attack surface management capabilities and give clients more thorough insight and risk mitigation in managed security operations.

Booz Allen to acquire Defy Security

Defy Security, a cybersecurity services and consulting firm, was purchased by technology consulting behemoth Booz Allen Hamilton. In addition to supporting Booz Allen's expanding business in the UK and the EU, the acquisition intends to strengthen the company's cybersecurity capabilities.

Proofpoint acquires Acuvity

Acuvity, an AI security and governance firm, was purchased by Proofpoint. Proofpoint will be able to offer real-time visibility and fine-grained controls over how workers and systems engage with AI applications thanks to the integration of Acuvity's technology. This agreement attempts to ensure compliance while preventing the unintentional disclosure of private information.

Zscaler acquires SquareX

Zscaler declared that it has paid an unknown amount to buy browser security company SquareX. Zscaler will expand security to unmanaged devices using SquareX's technology, allowing businesses to secure users within their preferred browser without requiring a full agent or having to deal with the drawbacks of a different, third-party browser.

Gambit Security raises $61 million
 

 

 

 

 

 

Gambit Security, a cybersecurity company based in Tel Aviv, announced on Wednesday that it has received $61 million in an early investment round after operating in "stealth mode" for more than a year.
Some clients were already utilizing the technology, according to the startup, which created an AI-based cyber resilience platform intended to keep organizations operating during cyberattacks, significant system failures, or technical disruptions.

 

UpGuard Raises $75M in Series C Funding

 

  

 

UpGuard, a pioneer in risk management and cybersecurity, announced today that Springcoast Partners has contributed $75 million to a Series C fundraising round. UpGuard's next growth phase, which includes expanding its AI-powered Cyber Risk Posture Management (CRPM) platform capabilities, developing global go-to-market operations, and pursuing strategic M&A, will be accelerated by the minority fundraising round.

Fig Security raises $30 million Series A

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ten Eleven Ventures led a $30 million investment round for cybersecurity startup Fig Security, which also included Team8, which led the company's $8 million seed round. The company currently employs 25 people, most of whom are based in Israel and work remotely. According to Loya Dahan, workers have adjusted to the prolonged conflict.

Evervault Raises $25M in Series B

 

 

 

 

 Evervault, a developer-first platform focused on encrypting and managing sensitive data, has secured new investment of $25m. The company announced it has raised $25m in a Series B funding round led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Index Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins and Operator Partners. The latest investment brings Evervault’s total funding to $46m.
